Ranch History
I
really don't know where to start.....my great grandfather came here
from Yugoslavia and bought the majority of the land in Pueblo County
which part of it is now Lakeside Manor Estates. He kept 24 acres to
the North and 1600 acres south of the Estates. This became my
grandfathers, where he ran Chantala Ranch and Feedlot. My grandfather
was actually the first to hold a Junior Rodeo and pay back money and
prizes. After numerous years my he tore that place down and now
our
arena and barns sits on the same 24 acres. The 1600 acres south of
the Estates is ranch land. He ran horses and numerous cattle on it
for years. We currently have 250 head of cattle and enjoy being able
to run them on the same ranch right close to our house. It's nice to
be able to keep history alive.
